Rocket City Bloggers is made up of a talented group of bloggers. We blog about fashion, food, politics, books, movies, kids…and more. Take a moment to get to know one of the members with this week’s RCB Spotlight.
The Blogger: Julie Ryan
Julie is a freelance writer and student. She is working to finish a degree in Psychology, and lives with multiple chronic illnesses, including Fibromyalgia, migraines, cluster headaches, and endometriosis. She shares inspiration and information for those living with chronic pain conditions.
The Blog: Counting My Spoons
Julie began her blog, Counting My Spoons, in 2010 when she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. She began by sharing her journey and bits of information that she picked up along the way. As she has learned more about her conditions, she has expanded her blog to include more information on current medical studies, as well as inspirational pieces on living with chronic illness. She also has a weekly Fibro Warrior feature where she interviews someone who has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about how the illness has impacted their life and what they have learned from it.

Rocket City Bloggers is a group of local bloggers who share a love of blogging, social media, and everything that goes into being a webmaster.
RCB has monthly “Bloggles” (A gaggle of bloggers) where we meet at a local restaurant to swap ideas, enjoy bloggy fellowship, pick each other’s brains and enjoy a great meal at the same time. The bloggles tend to alternate between lunch and suppers to accommodate work schedules. We have a private Facebook group for members only, where we can also have conversations and make plans for things like future bloggles, large events and various workshops. Check out our Events page to see what we have scheduled.
