This year the Huntsville-Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted a Rocket City Food Blogger Tour in anticipation of this year’s Restaurant Week.
The participating local bloggers include:
- Christy – Christy Jordan’s Southern Plate
- Constance – Cosmopolitan Cornbread
- Jessica – IHeartHSV
- Katie – Katie Actually
- Sarah – The Jealous Crumpet
- Stephanie and Bo – Rocket City Mom
Then there were out of town guests as well…
The bloggers visited three local restaurants: LawLers Barbecue, Hildegard’s Biergarten and Grille 29. Each blogger will be sharing about their experiences on their respective blogs, so be sure to check them out!
What is Restaurant Week?
It’s a special event featuring many participating restaurants around town – over 60 of them this year! – from food trucks to fine dining. Each restaurant will be offering special lunch or dinner deals – at special prices. Lunches will have a set price of either $5, $10 or $15 and will include a main course and a dessert or an appetizer. For dinner, the price points will be $10, $20 or $30 and will include a main course, an appetizer and a dessert. This year there is also an additional “Bites” category for establishments that don’t offer traditional meals.
This special event will go on from August 14th until the 23rd.
